Vidhyanidhi, CMS, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), organized a national level symposium titled, ‘Reinventing and Integrating the New Era of Management and Media Practices’ on May 21, 2021. The online event comprised six sessions. The focus of the conclave was to provide an avenue to understand the comprehensive approaches in the management of a new era of business and media.
Session 1:
Dr. Lalit Kumar, Senior Faculty - Haryana Institute of Public Administration, Gurugram, Haryana, enriched participants with the knowledge of e-governance initiatives implemented in India and worldwide, along with the challenges faced in the implementation of those initiatives.
Session 2:
Dr. S Divya, Assistant Professor - VIT University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, presented her views on ‘Complexity Leadership in Times of Exogenous Shocks’, along with various focal points such as the VUCA world, challenges to curb distress, and different types of leadership approaches.
Session 3:
Dr. Sourav Banerjee, Associate Professor - MNM, University of Calcutta, West Bengal, inclusively spoke on the portrayal of women in Indian advertisements and emphasized the need for a change in the conventional perception towards the same.
Session 4:
Dr. Roopa Traisa - Associate Professor and HOD, CMS, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, Karnataka, furnished her insightful observations on the need for positivity in leadership during the times of contingency and focused on the impact positivity creates in leaders and transforms them to be empathetic.
Session 5:
Dr. Vikas Rai Bhatnagar, visiting faculty - IIM-Indore, Founder & Chief - Hyperspace Action Research Services, Gurugram, Haryana, spoke about the transformation of organizations as the enablers of happiness and shared his domain expertise in creating a happier organizational ambiance with the budding entrepreneurs among the audience.
Session 6:
Professor Sunitha BK, Head of the Department, CMS, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, Karnataka, mentioned the governance challenges that the businesses are facing during the ongoing pandemic. She shared her knowledge on the economic, governance, and financial spheres. The speaker emphasized the need to relook numerous facets from the government’s perspective, making the entire session incredible.
