A "Photo Walk" for MAJ first year students as part of their academics was organized in Lalbagh Botanical Garden in which students participated with great enthusiasm to experiment their photography skills with people and environment.

Organized on 28th August 2019, Prof. Francis Arackal Thummy spoke about the diminishing impact of media in promoting the real essence of democracy in our country. The theme of the lecture was “Media and Democracy”.

Undergraduate students from the Department of Media Studies at the CMS, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) organized a photography exhibition on the streets to mark the occasion of World Ozone Day across three locations; Church Street, MG Road and Cubbon Park.

The Visit to Vijayvaani and Star of Mysore newspapers by final year MAJ students gave them an overall exposure of how a print media functions on a day to day basis. The students were exposed to machinery and material to print newspapers.

“HUES” was one of the best short film activities done by students of BAJ as a part of their academics where they shot films visiting various locations according to their script and presented well. They also screened their movies.

The students of first year MAJ attended 14TH PRCI GLOBAL CONCLAVE with the theme PR BEYOND 20:20. They gained the knowledge and understood how a PR works in the real world.

The Prestigious 12th Edition of Bangalore International Film Festival was held from 26 February to 4 March. The students effectively gained the knowledge on the current trends of movie making from the experts themselves as they worked as volunteers at BIFFIS 2020.

The students of MAJ first year visited Jyothi Nivas College where they interacted with Bharka Dutt, famous Journalist from Electronic Media in Bangalore. The event was about “Women in Journalism” which was a knowledgeable and gave an exposure to the students. The students also learnt how media trend have changed and how women too are working effortlessly in media.
