There are many things you can get involved with at Center for Management Studies that will make your time with us a truly memorable one.

Life on campus
A big part of your life as a student will be the people you meet and the friendships you’ll make. We know you will be working hard, so it’s important that you also make time to relax and socialise. Our students’ cultural committees and fantastic student facilities make this easy. We have listed just some of things you can get involved in.

Freshers’ week
Freshers’ week at Center for Management Studies is the week before teaching starts and your introduction to student life. There will be loads going on, so you can meet lots of new people and join clubs and societies. It’s a great kick start to the whole year - before the real work begins!

Students’ Cultural Committee
Your first few weeks of student life are a great time to get involved with Center for Management Studies, your Students’ Cultural Committee, and experience some of the activities on offer. CMS runs a programme packed with interesting things to do, so keep your eyes and ears open when term starts – you won’t want to miss a thing.

Clubs & Societies
Whether you’re into music, theatre, dance, literature or any social responsibility wing you should be able to find a student club or society to interest you. These societies are organised by students. What better way for like-minded people to get together, have fun, share experiences and meet new friends?

Annual Magazine
Center for Management Studies has taken academic and literary initiative in the form of “ERGO” an annual magazine. It is a canvas for students to express their literary talent.

Threshold
Threshold is a fest designed and conducted exclusively for first year management students taking into consideration their level of experience and competence. It is envisioned as a platform to take students from the novice level to that of exceptional initiative.

Precipice - All India Management Fest
Precipice is the inter collegiate meet at Jain University - CMS that puts decision making, organizational and entrepreneurial skills to the test, besides being a celebration of student life as a whole. This fest provides students with the opportunity to assess their proficiency at planning, organization, execution and competition.

While Precipice - 2002 saw the brightest minds battle at The Leela Palace. Precipice - 2003 was on board the ship MV Swaraj Deep, which sailed from Chennai to Port Blair and Precipice - 2004 was on the Emerald Island in Sri Lanka. Precipice - 2005 saw them battle with international visitors from Dubai, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Precipice 2006 - witnessed corporates battling against colleges to reach the Precipice.

Precipice 07 : was a 9 day extravaganza wherein both the MBA and the BBM colleges were tested on travel & tourism. This spectacular event was held in the tourist hub of India - Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Precipice 08-09 : was set in the pristine ambience of Sahara Aamby Valley, Pune with India’s finest colleges competing to be the best.

Management Exhibition
Management Exhibition is a powerful corollary to classroom academic study. They showcase student knowledge, skill and perception. These are organised and conducted as student initiatives, guided by academic staff.

Abhinaya
"Abhinaya" a celebrated Annual Theatre Festival showcases national thespian talent as an All India Amateur Theatre Festival. It aims to achieve integration in diversity across the nation and language. Featuring plays in Hindi, English and Kannada, Abhinaya is now poised to be the prime performance of the Academy of Theatre Arts at CMS. Abhinaya will help young Indians revitalize their Indian identity develop new perspectives and mould character through discipline and passionate vision.
